The future of our planet will be led by you! You will have to support any current work and be leaders in future work to care for the planet for continued support of human, plant and animal species. 

Basic Needs of people are Food, clothing and shelter. All require energy, from person power to energy systems created to power our homes, food production and other needs.

In this project, you will pursue the processes to understand how ENERGY systems and FOOD systems are being challenged to be sustainable for our planet. 

In Design, Engineering and Physics (DEAP) three projects will be developed to prototype stage and presented in various venues in San Diego. The products are:

• Residential Composting System for the City of Chula Vista

• Sustainable Station offering hydroponics and USB charging through solar and wind technologies

• Aquaponic system that utilizes the current pond at HTHCV.

In Humanities you will be studying our FOOD systems: 

• Video on FOOD system(s)

• A TEDTalk speech.
